BIOPUNCTURE IS A MILD, NONTOXIC ADJUNCTIVE THERAPY USEFUL FOR A BROAD RANGE OF MUSCULO-SKELTAL PROBLEMS.

BIOPUNCTURE, or what is also known as ACUPOINT INJECTION THERAPY, is the gentlest of injection therapies and uses natural substances such as homeopathic remedies from German pharmacies and some herbal and vitamin remedies like B12 injections.  In some cases Procaine is used as a carrier agent in these injections.  Procaine while being in the 'caine' family is very, very mild and is used exclusively in German-style natural medicine to do what is known as Neural Therapy; where Procaine is injected into neural plexus' and also into scars to clear what is known as energetic 'focal' problems. 

In my practice at this time I do simple injections and mostly do Trigger Point injections.  This means injecting very superficially into a muscle knot locus area.  The two(2) main substances I use are 2 of the Heel Homeopathic products - Traumeel and Spascupreel.  Traumeel is good for acute local trauma and inflamation and Spacsupreel is helpful for spasm in the muscle.  I also use another Heel homeopathic called Zeel which is helpful for arthritic joints.

In some cases by injecting into known Acupuncture Points which are often where the Trigger Points are located you get added benefit from the both the substance and an acupointure treatment at the same time.  This would be termed ACUPOINT INJECTION THERAPY.  Sometimes the important therapeutic consideration is to just get the homeopathic substance into the tissues meaing to proliferative the affected area.

Most often in this work a 1/2 inch needle is used which is shorter than most acupuncture needles, although slightly larger in diameter.  Like I said, these are gentle injections which are useful for wide range of musculo-sketal problems.  

Most often 1 or 2 sites are done in the same treatment. The cost is based on substances used and sites administered.   Because these treatments are mild as compared to much stronger cortisone injections, often several treatments are needed.  Please keep in mind with using homeopathic injections the idea is to NOT mask the problem in any way.  The whole idea of homeopathic medicine is to NOT suppress symptoms because suppression in that system is said to drive the problem deeper into the interior of the body which will later manisfest as more chronic illness.
